What are they?
Lecturer-led student groups working to support business growth by providing a local business with a solution to an identified problem.
| Problem | Solution |
| Product | Design, test, prototype of a new product or modified existing product. Examples: Part/Component, Website etc |
| Process | Analyse existing work practices, investigate and trial new ways of working, present business with options Examples: Layout drawings, New operating procedures, Skills matrix, Manpower plan etc |
| Service | Investigate new markets or new suppliers Examples: Database of potential customers or suppliers, Marketing plan etc |

| Not eligible | Public bodies, Charities, SEEs etc |

| Lecturer support | Technical projects - 40 hours Business projects - 24 hours |
| Student input | Individual students - 30-50 hours Group of students - 20-40 hours each |
| Fees | The Employer Support Programme is funded by the Department for Employment and Learning and if free to participating businesses |
