Programme Overview

The aim is to offer full-time Sponsored HND Engineering opportunities to companies and students with an interest in either Manufacturing or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

This programme has been successfully piloted with Northern Regional College – Ballymena in partnership with The Wright Group, Ballymena, and is now being offered to other companies/students.

Company Benefits

• Company can select from a pool of HND Engineering students at the beginning of their study (interviews can be arranged at NRC or on site).
• Student can work during holiday periods and the entire placement year (2nd year) within the company.
• Company can assess the suitability of students throughout the sponsorship period.
• Student gains experience of the company and can take up meaningful employment should a position be made available after graduation.

• Year 1 – £1,335.00
• Year 2 – £670.00
• Year 3 – £1,335.00

Year 1 and Year 3 Programme

• Full-time study at NRC
  (Number of days per week TBC)
• Non-study days and hoilday
  periods paid employment
  with employer

Year 2 Student Programme

• Full-time paid employment
  at employer
