Successful Year 1 students can automatically progress to the second year of the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma.

To equip students with the knowledge of business and IT and practical skills necessary to gain employment . To enable students to progress onto degree and HND qualifications.
On completion of year one a 60 Credit Diploma in Business is awarded which is equivalent to one 'A' Level. Successful students can automatically progress to the second year of the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma.
The Level 3 course gives students the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of both Business and Information Technology skills within the Business Enironment. The course is particularly relevant for employers who seek to employ someone who has both Business and IT skills. The course also offers a pathway to higher education courses within the College and through UCAS both in Business and Information Technology.
A mix of continuous assessment and examination throughout the year based on a range of assignments and projects across all units.
Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs at Grades C or above or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business or Information Technolgy. In circumstances where there are more applications for the course than there are places available, the College reserves the right to ask for higher grades. Studnents who have not gained English, Mathematics or ICT at grade C or above will be required to attend Essential Skills classes in Numeracy, Communication and ICT TO gain the Equivalent of 3 additional GCSE's
