Course Aims

This course is ideal for those who wish to pursue technical and professional careers in the Built Environment such as Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction and Project Management and Building. It is also suitable for those already in related employment who wish to improve their qualifications. The course content includes Construction Technology, An introduction to Building Information Modelling (BIM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Building and Site Surveying, Building Design and the Development Process.

Course Update

Please note that due to campus redevelopment Ballymena and Coleraine courses may be relocated to alternative suitable locations.

All applications must satisfy the general entry requirements as indicated below: Grade C or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent); And Applicants must have a minimum of the equivalent to 48 UCAS tariff points such as One GCE A' Level with at least 4 GCSE grades at C or above A BTEC Extended Diploma or Another qualification deemed to be appropriate by the admissions tutor.

Where mature students wish to have prior education and/or experience taken into account, in lieu of meeting the full course entry requirements, they should contact the relevant Course Director by 13th August, as an application deadline will apply.

Final selection will be by interview. In circumstances where there are more applications for the course than there are places available, the college reserves the right to select candidates from those achieving the highest grades.
