Course Content

  • Understanding Healthy Eating
  • Mental health awareness

Course Aims

The qualification will provide learners with an opportunity to know how to develop a healthy lifestyle.


Special Features

Students will be expected to complete a project linked to a relevant work placement.


Assessment Methods

Each unit is assessed by a variety of assignments and awarded a pass grade.

Assessment methods will include:

  • Work Based Project.
  • Reflective Accounts.
  • Displays.
  • Activity Plans.
  • Portfolio Building.

Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs at Grade D-G or above/or 2 GCSEs at Grade C or other relevant qualifications and satisfy ACCESS NI Assessment Methods and health checks. In cases where there are more applications for this course than there are places available, candidates with the requisite entry requirements, will be given preference according to the date of receipt by the college of their application.


Successful students may progress to a Level 3 programmes in Health and Social Care or Child Care.
