Students of the Northern Regional College have created a colourful Floral Art Exhibition which was hosted at the Flax Gallery, Mossley Mill.
The students who all study the leisure part-time City and Guilds Level 2 Floral Art course at the Ballymena, Magherafelt and Newtownabbey Campuses, exhibited their individual and inspiring energetic mixture of work. Opening the exhibition Darlene Hagan-Bezgin, NRC’s Curriculum Manager Art & Design commented on the very high standard of work on display and thanked the students and their Lecturer for their hard work in putting together such a wonderful diverse exhibition.
NRC Lecturer Ross McGookin said that “Floral art has been enjoyed and appreciated by many, since its founding movement in the 1960’s. This exhibition is an example of traditional, contemporary, leisure and commercial work by the students of the Northern Regional College who have studied on a one year level 2 City and Guilds course part-time.”
