Top Local Rotary Award for NRC Newtownabbey Media Student

Congratulations to Scott Cormack who has just scooped the NRC Treble ‘A’ Award for the student who embraces the College’s vision of Aspire, Aim, Achieve on the Newtownabbey Campus. The annual Donald Davies Memorial Award sponsored locally by Newtownabbey Rotary Club was awarded to Scott in recognition for course work which involved producing a DVD for the Corporate Real Estate Division of the new Titanic Quarter. Scott said, “I am really pleased to have received this award. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the media production course here and hope to continue my studies at the University of Ulster in Coleraine doing an Honours Degree in Media Studies. My aspiration is to become a Director and I hope through continued hard work to be able to make a valuable contribution to the film industry.” The award also includes a bursary of £250 to help Scott further his education.
