MechanExpert, the mechanic’s ultimate resource, is back on the road again and this year, the first stop will be at Northern Regional College’s Newtownabbey campus. The College’s motor vehicle workshops will be transformed as the College hosts the first in a series of events as part of the annual MechanExpert Roadshow. Organised by Matthew McCallum and Iain Knox from Component Distributors, the event aims to bring technical expertise from CD’s partner brands directly to local mechanics. The event is an ideal opportunity for mechanics to get answers to real questions from the very people who developed the products that they work with on a day to day basis.

Technical experts from a range of distributors including LUK, FAG, INA, Kilen, KYB, Comma, Gates, Philips, Bosch, Apec, MANN + HUMMEL, HELLA, and HELLA GUTMANN SOLUTIONS will be in attendance. There will be demonstrations of equipment and an opportunity to get answers to questions on a ‘one to one’ basis.

Ruth Walker, Associate Head of Department of Engineering and Built Environment said the MechanExpert Roadshow is an ideal opportunity to get up-to-date information on the latest technology.

“Technical experts from a range of CD’s partner brands will be on hand to give the inside track on best practices and common problems facing mechanics to help them deal with the more complex repairs they face today as various technologies become more common and widespread in the motoring world.

MechanExpert will be at Northern Regional College, Newtownabbey next Tuesday, April 9 from 6 pm – 10 pm. The other dates for the MechanExpert Roadshow are: Wednesday 10th April, Clanree Hotel, Derry Road, Letterkenny,  6-10pm and Thursday 11th April, South West College, 2 Mountjoy Road, Omagh, 6-10pm.
