Hair & Beauty and Holistic Therapies
"While studying Beauty Therapy at NRC, I was able to further my professional development by working part-time in local beauty salon Shek Goddess. Here I gained valuable experience about the beauty industry, client care and what it takes to be a good beauty therapist. Then I worked for a short time on a cruise ship, after doing intensive training at the Steiner academy in London. Here I further developed my skills in face and body treatments, massage, retailing, and developed new skills in public speaking. I gained certificates in both Elemis and La Therapie cosmeceutical skincare. Working on the ship was both demanding andrewarding and I feel I have developed both personally and professionally.
In the future I would love to continue learning and do further training in make up artistry. Further down the line I would also consider doing an HND in beauty therapy. But ultimately I want to be a great beauty therapist."
