Course Content
This course provides an opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification. At Level 4 students develop a broad knowledge and awareness of key aspects of the construction and the built environment sector. This course is suitable for those who are already employed within the industry and for those who hope to pursue a career within the construction industry.
You will receive training on industry standard and specialist equipment and software. The course consists of 8 units.
This course is delivered part time usually over one day per week.
Over the two years you will study 8 units and include units such as:
- Construction Design Project
- Construction Technology
- The Construction Environment
- Digital Applications for Construction Information
- Building Information Modelling
- Principles of Off-site Construction
- Alternative Sustainable Solutions in Construction

Assessment Methods
Assessment is undertaken on a continuous basis through a combination of written assignments, practical assessments, work-based learning and presentations.

On completion students can progress to the L5 Higher National Diploma, full time employment or onto a Hons Degree programme.
