This course is fully funded by the Department for the Economy, under the Skills Intervention Programme, to support those who are resident in Northern Ireland and jobs have been affected by Covid-19. This course is a part of a suite of free online accredited courses that the College is offering, providing an opportunity to individuals or companies through Skills Focus funding (eligibility criteria applies) to upskill, retrain and gain a qualification with no costs associated.

Essential Skills in ICT aims to give learners the opportunity to develop practical computer skills to use in their current or future workplace and for their own personal need. This qualification will help learners to access the internet and exchange emails, help with homework, develop personally and improve self-confidence, get a job and a promotion.
- Learners must be at least aged 16 years of age on or before 1 July 2020.
- There are no formal qualification requirements.
