RAISE Programme – Re-Engage for Success

The Re-Engage for Success Programme, funded by the Department of Education RAISE Programme provides a supportive and engaging pathway for Year 11 and Year 12 pupils (aged 14–16) who benefit from hands-on learning, pastoral support, and an alternative route to achieving meaningful qualifications. The programme is delivered as a collaboration between the Department of Education, Northern Regional College and The Bytes Project.

The programme is ideal for pupils who:

• Struggle with engagement in traditional classroom settings.
• Have low or inconsistent attendance.
• Would benefit from vocational learning and smaller group sizes.
• Need support with confidence, communication, and future planning.

Pupils will gain:

• Recognised OCN NI Level 2 Award or Certificate in Vocational Skills.
• Vocational tasters, digital skills training, and real-world tasks.
• Improved confidence and communication.
• Activities designed to build self-belief, teamwork, and aspirations.
• Engagement with employers (workplace visits, employer talks, mock interviews).

• Vocational Taster
• Fundamentals of IT Communication
• Communication Skills for the individual
• Using Mobile IT Devices
• Diversity within Society

Additional pupil support:

• Personal development sessions.
• 1:1 mentoring and ongoing wellbeing support.
• Career guidance and progression planning.
