Northern Regional College Staff Attend Tourism Ni Conference To Bring Industry Insight Into Classroom

Northern Regional College Travel and Tourism colleagues Karen McLeod, Richard Hassan and Colleen McGrath attended Tourism NI’s Tourism 2030: Turning Momentum into Growth conference at Titanic Belfast on Friday 25 September. The conference was part of Tourism and Hospitality Week, which runs from 25 September to 2 October and celebrates the sector’s contribution to Northern Ireland.

The event brought together tourism leaders and decision makers to explore Northern Ireland’s visitor economy, including changing visitor expectations, destination marketing and the opportunities created when businesses and organisations work together.

Karen McLeod said: “It was valuable to hear directly from people shaping the future of tourism in Northern Ireland. As educators, we want our students to understand how the industry is changing and the opportunities ahead. We’ll bring the ideas and examples shared at the conference into our teaching, helping students connect what they learn in the classroom with the work happening across the sector.”

The visit reflects Northern Regional College’s commitment to keeping its Travel and Tourism teaching connected to industry developments and preparing students for careers in a changing sector.
