Northern Plus

As with any new experience, it’s normal to feel anxious about going to college.  So it’s good to know you’ll be fully supported throughout your time here.  As part of the wider student services team, Northern Plus is committed to helping you study, achieve your potential and enjoy your time at Northern Regional College.

Each campus has its own dedicated Achievement Coach who recognises that it isn’t always easy to manage your academic studies alongside day-to-day life.  They are here to listen and advise you on a range of issues and advise on other specialist services you can access across the college, providing an individually tailored, student-centred, wrap-around support package to enable you to fulfil your potential and reach successful outcomes at College.  The Northern Plus team views everyone they meet with unconditional positive regard.

Our team of Achievement Coaches work to a key set of principles and core values and aim to deliver an accessible, inclusive and high-quality support and guidance service to all students.

We work discretely with you, the curriculum team and the student services team (and sometimes outside organisations) to help you stay on track, or to reconnect when things have gone wrong.

If you are worried that you may be at risk of not achieving on your course you can link with Northern Plus for help.

Simply fill in the short self-referral form, and one of our team will be in touch or drop in to see an Achievement coach.
