This eight-week creative writing course is designed for adults at beginner to intermediate level who want to explore storytelling, develop confidence, and enjoy the creative process. Each week will combine short readings, practical exercises, and opportunities to share your work (always optional). You will be guided through some of the fundamentals of creative writing such as finding inspiration, implementing writing habits, and editing your work. Participants will be invited to respond to writing prompts in the genre of their choosing. These workshops will be relaxed and informal - a welcoming space to boost skills and confidence.

Application Process

When applying online for this Leisure Course, Step 3 does not need to be completed, as examination results are not required. Official photographic identification must be uploaded; applications without valid ID will not be processed.

You must be at least 16 years of age as of the 1 July 2025.
