Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair combines the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge and understanding and practical skills gained in the college classroom and workshops. It also permits various pathways that include Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair & Auto-Electrics. This qualification forms the knowledge component (technical certificate) of the IMI SSC Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship framework (for Light Vehicle)
The assessment is made up of two components:
- IMI Practical tasks
- IMI Online testing
