Seeing students grow – personally and professionally – is the best part of what I do. Whether it's a breakthrough moment in class or getting that first job offer, I love helping students realise how much they have to offer. It's a real privilege to be part of the journey.

Learning from industry professionals is essential, especially in dental settings, as it facilitates knowledge transfer and observational assessment ensures adherence to GDC Fitness to Practice standards supporting our students in reaching their full academic potential.

My previous roles and experience include Nursing, Midwifery and Specialist Community Practitioner. From this valuable experience I am able to bring learning to life for the students, linking the theory to practice to help motivate students to focus on their career goal.

Having worked in the Early Years industry for 20 years, I can share a wealth of knowledge within education. Students enjoy my stories from different settings and areas I have worked in, which helps consolidate their learning within areas they have little or no experience.

One of my most memorable moments was watching a group of HNC students I had supported from the beginning of their course walk across the stage at graduation. Seeing their pride and joy, knowing the dedication and hard work they had put in—often while balancing personal and professional challenges—was incredibly moving.
