Thursday

Male student in graduation gown with lecturer and his family

A Ballymena-based counsellor has taken his ability to the next level by completing a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling at Northern Regional College. Arben Delija is originally from Albania but has been living in the UK for 20 years. He works as a counsellor at Ballymena’s Hope Centre which delivers education programmes in relation to drug and alcohol abuse.

Commenting on his decision to undertake the diploma, Arben said:

“I wanted to gain a qualification to help me with my work and improve the standard of my offering to the Hope Centre and everyone that we help. I’ve found it’s really helped me in my job, and I would thoroughly recommend the course to anyone interested in working as a counsellor.

“I had a fantastic experience at the College, and I would like to thank my lecturers, in particular Minford McBride, for all their dedication.”
