NORTHERN REGIONAL COLLEGE TO STAGE LITTLE WOMEN AT THE COURTYARD THEATRE

Monday

Northern Regional College will present a stage adaptation of Little Women in May, performed by students from its Level 3 and Level 5 Performing Arts courses. Taking place at the Courtyard Theatre on Thursday 21st May 2026 at 7.00pm, the production will bring Louisa May Alcott’s much-loved story to life for a contemporary audience.

This thoughtful adaptation follows the lives of the March sisters as they navigate family life, personal ambition and the challenges of growing up. Through a blend of warmth, humour and emotionally resonant moments, the production explores themes of love, loss and identity, while celebrating the enduring strength of sisterhood.

The performance provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate the breadth of their training and creative development, both on stage and behind the scenes. It also reflects Northern Regional College’s continued commitment to nurturing emerging talent within the performing arts, offering students a platform to showcase their skills in a professional theatre setting.

Rhianan Conlon, Course Coordinator for Performing Arts at Northern Regional College, commented: “We are delighted to present our students’ interpretation of Little Women, a production which highlights not only their performance abilities but also their dedication and collaborative spirit. The themes within the story remain as relevant today as ever and our students have approached the material with both sensitivity and creativity. This production represents a significant milestone in their development, and we look forward to sharing their work with a wider audience.”

Quote from student (Rhianan to provide name), “Being part of Little Women has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It has allowed us to connect deeply with the characters and work together as a company to bring this story to life. Performing in a theatre setting has helped build our confidence and develop our skills and we are excited to share the final production with an audience.”

Audiences can expect an engaging evening of live theatre, characterised by strong performances and a fresh interpretation of a literary classic. Tickets for the production are priced at £11.50 and are now available to purchase online via > https://thecourtyardtheatre.com/book/?show=216202
