Students to attend training event in preparation for the WorldSkills UK National Final

FANUC, a leading manufacturer of factory automation and robots and competition partner for WorldSkills are hosting a training event in Coventry next week for students preparing for the Industrial Robotics category at the WorldSkills National Finals coming up in November.

A Northern Regional College bench joinery apprentice employed by Mivan has been named Young Apprentice of the Year 2023. Conor Dallas (25) from Loughguile, County Antrim who is a final year apprentice at the College’s Ballymoney Campus, was among the winners at the prestigious Construction News Specialists gala awards dinner at the Hilton London Metropole.

CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development. Eimear Duffy, who is originally from Monaghan and now lives in Belfast, has been short-listed for the CIPD NI Best HR Student award, one of the 11 award categories. The winners will be announced at a glittering gala evening in the Titanic Belfast on Thursday 12 October.
