A former student was among the successful entrepreneurs to speak to current students at an event to relaunch Northern Regional College’s Entrepreneurship Hub at the Newtownabbey campus. Among those to share the story of their entrepreneurial journey with the next generation of budding entrepreneurs was Gregory Bradley, who studied business at the College’s Coleraine campus. He is the founder of Blk Box, a company which manufactures and supplies high end gym equipment. Since it was established in 2012, it has enjoyed global success and customers now include IRFU, Arsenal, Google, LinkedIn and The Royals in Dubai.

He is currently employed by Radius Housing as a Trainee Asset Officer, a role which involves ensuring that the Radius buildings are suitably maintained.

Bluebell Café at the Gillaroo Nursing home was officially opened by local personality Olivia Nash, better known as the diminutive ‘Ma’ in Give My Head Peace. It is the first dementia friendly café to open in the Mid and East Antrim Council area.
Continue ReadingYear 10 pupils from nine local schools took part in the annual Ballymena Rotary Club’s technology challenge at the College’s Ballymena Campus. For their challenge this year, the pupils had to design, build and test a weight powered vehicle to travel the furthest distance. A total of 72 pupils from Cambridge House Grammar School, Ballymena Academy, Castle Tower School, St Louis Grammar School, Dunclug College, St Patrick’s College, St Benedict’s College, Slemish College and Cullybackey College competed for the top prize of £200 and runner up prize of £100.
