Completing a HND at Northern Regional College has allowed a young Belfast woman to progress directly second year of her university degree. Sophie Briers (24) from North Belfast did a Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Creative Media (Web and App Development) at the College’s Newtownabbey campus.

Larne’s John Irwin has graduated from Northern Regional College’s Farm Lodge Campus, in Ballymena, after completing a Foundation Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing & Engineering. Once he left school, John decided that an apprenticeship was the right route for him and, through an apprenticeship scheme, he was able to complete a Level 2 and Level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing & Engineering.

Draperstown construction student James Flanagan has graduated from Northern Regional College. James, who studied a Foundation Degree in Construction Engineering with Surveying for three years after completing a Level 2 and Level 3 in Joinery before completing his Foundation Degree at the College, plans to go into the world of work “to really use the skills” he has gained during his studies.
