Northern Regional College takes action following Wrightbus administration

Following the recent news of Wrightbus entering administration, Northern Regional College held a training and course information event at its Farm Lodge campus in Ballymena on Friday 04 October. Careers advisers from the College and the Department for the Economy were on hand, along with lecturing staff, to provide advice and guidance on qualifications, skills and courses. The College has worked closely with Wrightbus for many years and the event highlighted their ongoing support and encouragement for former employees and the wider community at this turbulent time.

Samuel Gilmore, a Carpentry and Joinery apprentice at the Coleraine campus, is through to the final two in the Apprenticeship category of the European Alliance for Apprenticeship Awards and your vote could help him get over the line.

Former employees of Wrightbus are invited to attend a training and courses information event at the College’s Farm Lodge campus this Friday, 4 October from 10 am – 2 pm. Careers advisors from both the College and the Department for the Economy will be on hand, along with lecturing staff and other agencies, to provide advice and guidance on qualifications, skills and courses.

Northern Regional College To Commence Procurement For Flagship Ballymena Campus

The Northern Regional College is delighted to announce that following full planning approval for a new college building at the existing Farm Lodge site in Ballymena, the College is now in a position to invite contractors to register interest in tendering for the construction contract to build this exciting new campus.

Prestigious Scholarships for Former Northern Regional College Students

Two former Northern Regional College students are to receive a prestigious JP McManus Scholarship. Jack Bradshaw and Caitlin Allen will each receive £5,500 a year towards their university fees and other expenses for the duration of their undergraduate programmes.

Samuel Gilmore, former Northern Ireland Young Apprentice of the Year and Gold Medallist at Worldskills UK 2018, is through to the final two in the Apprenticeship category of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships Awards.
